Curator Margus Meinart describes the painting students’ exhibition as follows: “The exhibition is both a technical experiment and a visual exploration of dreamlike imagery and states of mind. The works feature unexpected and surreal motifs: a mouse stirring soup, a ‘sleep worm’ forming in a spiral, shapes reminiscent of dream visions, or a dinosaur above Karlova. These images are not straightforward narrative illustrations, but rather visual metaphors for the states that accompany falling asleep, drifting off, or the experience of dreaming.”
