Tuuli Puhvel and Sulev Kuuse write in their exhibition description: “In our own way, we seek to explore the same range of themes as this year’s Prima Vista: what is true, what is illusory, what is altogether false. In our multilayered works, we look for common ground between art and science, and it can be found in surprisingly large amounts. Both the artist and the scientist reveal in their work something that seems fantastical at first glance, yet over time, this fantasy may prove to be reality. The artist is also captivated by the visuals of the microworld opened up by researchers and modern technologies – tissues, cells, mysterious structures.”
