The photographer Ove Maidla’s exhibition brings together works in which photography meets the visual language of printmaking and painting. For decades, Maidla has been drawn to the alternative photographic techniques, which allow him to move beyond the boundaries of the documentary motif and give the image an artistic interpretation. In his work, a photograph is not merely a capture of an image, but a starting point from which an elaborated and crafted visual language is born.
