Prima Vista 2025 Art Program
This year’s art program is inspired by both the Estonian Book Year and Prima Vista’s theme, “Book as Place, Place as Book.” Each participating artist has interpreted the theme in their own way and through their chosen technique. Some have drawn inspiration from the Book Year and the 500-year history of the Estonian book, while others have explored the idea of place as a metaphor, the deeds and locations associated with Kalevipoeg, or stories connected to Southern Estonia. Some artists have based their work on the works of a specific Estonian writer or poet, interpreting the theme of place as reflected in their works. As an exception this year, a young photographer has chosen to focus on the people associated with Prima Vista and their stories.
The program features works by both Pallas students and professional artists, showcasing a variety of techniques and materials, including graphics, painting, photography, and textile art.
