[ti] poetry installation “Uni ootab sind / Sleep Awaits You” opens on 12 May at 17:30 in the wellbeing room on the second floor of the University of Tartu Library. The sound and light installation performs a poem, inviting visitors to step inside the text and let it guide them. The light-poem plays with the senses, slows down the act of reading, and creates a space where text, sound and light form a compound experience.

[ti], or Tartu Interdistsiplinaar, is a creative collective formed by Riina Oruaas, Krista Ojasaar, Hannes Einpaul and Henri Hütt. The collective organises an interdisciplinary arts festival of the same name as well as related artistic events, focusing on the intersection of different art forms and technological approaches. The poetry installation “Uni ootab sind / Sleep Awaits You” continues [ti]’s ongoing exploration in this field and is a further development of the light-poem created for the 2022 festival.

The poem is by Krista Ojasaar, translated by Maarja Pärtna, with sound design and technical solutions by Hannes Einpaul. The installation is part of the programme of the Prima Vista literary festival and the UNESCO Cities of Literature Annual Meeting. It will remain open in the wellbeing room on the second floor of the University of Tartu Library from 12 May to 11 June.
